Volunteer Project in Argentina

ABA-SE13

Description:

This Buenos Aires based volunteer project works with children who come from poor families or that have lived a life on the streets. The children range in age but most of them are between the ages of 6 and 12 years old. This organization works mainly in three areas: therapeutic assessment to families with problems of violence, sexual abuse, drugs, etc.; artistic and educative workshops, including school support; and finally, eating centers that offer breakfast or lunch for many children every day. Volunteers work only in the workshops and in the eating centers that are located in different neighborhoods of the city, but they go twice to the main center that is located in the suburbs of Buenos Aires (at the beginning and at the end of the volunteer program).
